A Church where YOU will feel at home.
"COME AS YOU ARE!"
As United Methodists, we have an obligation to bear a faithful Christian witness
to Jesus Christ, the living reality at the center of the Church’s life and witness.
To fulfill this obligation, we reflect critically on our biblical and theological
inheritance, striving to express faithfully the witness we make in our own time.
Happy Thanksgiving, and Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year!
It’s Thanksgiving and this time of year the calendar just flies by, before we know it will be Valentine’s Day. First off I would like to wish everyone safe travels this Christmas season as we go to and fro visiting family, friends and stores. The Christmas season brings an extra rush to our step as we prepare for Christmas morning. Everyone is getting everything together and those of us who wing it still have some kind of list to help us prepare. How are you preparing for this Christmas season spiritually? What are you doing to get yourself ready for the joy of the birth of our Lord and Savior? As I look back over my life I see that I rarely prepare for that gift that cannot be opened, I have just accepted it and usually treated it like that ugly sweater from Aunt Linda (name changed to protect the innocent.) During the hustle and bustle of the season take some time to reflect on the past year and to prepare for the best gift you will get this Christmas. You’re Brother in Christ Pastor Gerry Gleason |
