A Message from The Pastor!
Hello, my name is Peggy Puckett, and I am the Pastor of God's church
family at Oak Hill United Methodist Church. It would be my distinct
pleasure to welcome you warmly by a visit our friendly worship service.
It is also my prayer that you would return to worship with us again.
If you do not have a church home, you are encouraged to consider our
Oak Hill UMC family as your church home. Our Motto: "Come as you are"
Our church family is a small and close family. We share our hopes, dreams
and needs with each other. We have a continuing prayer list for needs of
comfort, for sharing joys and praises. On the last Sunday of each month we
share in fellowship during a pot luck lunch after the morning worship
service. This is a time for bonding with each other, catching up on the
family news and sharing joys and needs. Everyone is invited to attend even
if they are not members of our church. Being a member of our family does
not depend upon membership on a piece of paper. We have many who belong
to our family but do not belong to the church membership. We also have a
fellowship time after the morning worship service to which you are invited.
The purpose in our existence is to share the Gospel, the good news of Jesus
Christ with all whom we meet. We have a Bible study on Wednesday nights and
an adult Sunday School class on Sunday morning. We would like to invite you
to join us during either of these. We also have a children's time during
the morning worship service. We invite you to go to the children's class to
see the mural of Jesus with children and animals which was painted by one of
our members, Elaine McKeever.
Again, it would be a privilege to welcome you to our worship service. It is
our prayer that you will be blessed in some way. Please visit with us!.
